“The best parts of me exist because she was in my life”

Holly Kearl is usually heard from as an author and leader for stopping “street harassment”.

But in her latest article published online last week, she shares a very personal and intimate story about growing up with a big sister who had multiple physical and developmental challenges as a result of cerebral palsy.

Holly’s perspective on her sister Heidi (pictured above) reinforces one of ConnectAbility’s strongest beliefs: EVERY LIFE MATTERS.

In the eyes of many people, Heidi’s life was lacking the purpose that most of us enjoy because of all that she was not able to do without help from others.
But who could have been a better teacher of empathy, compassion and desire to help others to a younger sister?
