Results from 5K/10K
Our 5th annual 5K/10K went so well on Saturday September 12th. We were so excited to see how many people came out and ran! The overall winner of the 5K was Celeste Norton finished with the time, 22:55:3. The overall winner of the 10K was Beau Hughes finished with the time, 41:17.
We would like to thank the following guests for showing up and supporting us. Katy Wilson, who is a Special Olympics Global Messenger, helped hand out awards and spoke to the crowd. She also helped us give out our raffle items which included certificates from Race ID, gift cards from Totally Running, and gift bags donated from Knepper Heating & Air. Russell’s Racers are a group of doctoral PT students who run with friends who have disabilities so they can experience the atmosphere of running a race. My Team Triumph Angels of Georgia came and ran with their 7 Captains and 20+ Angels. Race For A Reason is made up of local residents who cheered people on and ran in the race as well.
