A Thousand Words

A picture is worth a thousand words, but what if a picture spoke your only words?

We believe that everyone has a story to tell. These stories are made up of images.

The Thousand Words photography project brings together 10 artists from all walks of life—with and without disabilities—to learn about art, perspectives, storytelling and friendship.
Together, the partners take pictures and learn a lot from each other.

This year’s theme is FACES.

The photographs will be professionally printed and will be up for auction at the third annual gala event.
The gala for the 2015 Thousand Words Project will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 5:30-8pm at the Grille at Achasta in Dahlonega.

Tickets available online here or on the form below.

You are invited to meet the artists, hear the stories behind the photos and have the chance to purchase the art to share the stories with others.

All proceeds from the event will support families affected by disability in our community through ConnectAbility, a local nonprofit organization.

Several photography partnerships make up the Thousand Words Project each year.
If you are interested in joining the Project, please contact us and we will place your name on our waiting list.
